The REDARC BCDC1225D In-vehicle Dual Battery Charger is a 12 volt, 25A in-vehicle DC-DC battery charger designed to charge your secondary battery banks to 100% state of charge while on the move.
For most applications, the BCDC1225D is suitable for battery bank sizes of 75-200AH. For higher capacity needs of over 200AH, REDARC recommends the BCDC1240D.

The REDARC BCDC1225D under-bonnet battery charger is a robust 12V 25A DC to DC battery charger designed for optimal performance in engine bay installations. It is encased to withstand and excel in high-temperature, wet, and dusty conditions.
Equipped with a Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) solar regulator, the BCDC1225D Classic can simultaneously charge from both solar panels and the vehicle's alternator. Additionally, it prioritizes solar charging with its 'Green Power Priority' feature, reducing the load on the alternator.
Compatible with 12 or 24-volt vehicle systems, the unit is also adaptable to both standard and variable/smart alternators.
The BCDC1225D retains the same patented charging profiles as its predecessor and introduces a new lithium charging profile, allowing it to effectively charge AGM, Gel, Standard Lead Acid, Calcium, and LiFePO4 batteries, making it an excellent choice for pairing with a REDARC Lithium battery.

Green Power Priority
The term "Green Power Priority" refers to the preference given to harnessing solar input when charging a secondary battery within your vehicle. To illustrate, if there is a solar power input accessible, it will be utilized to its full capacity before supplementing the charging current from an alternate power source. This prioritization sequence begins with the solar input, followed by AC Mains power (when applicable), and then DC Vehicle Power. This approach offers the advantage of reducing the burden on the alternator.
