WLC 2.0 - LIGHT CONTROL MADE EASY

According to the Road Traffic Act, the driver must check the function of the lights of the combination before driving with a trailer or rear bicycle carrier. If there is no second person nearby, it will be difficult at the latest when checking the brake lights, because he can hardly step on the brake and stand behind the trailer or bicycle carrier at the same time.

The new UCC2 control unit generation with an integrated check function from Westfalia-Automotive, which is used in conjunction with CAN-BUS electrical kits, can help here.

How does the new additional function work? The trailer or bicycle carrier must be coupled and the plug inserted into the socket. The driver switches on the vehicle's ignition and presses the brake pedal twice in rapid succession. This starts the light check and is repeated 20 times. The indicator, rear, brake, rear fog and reversing lights of the trailer light up one after the other. Standing behind the vehicle, the driver can check whether all the lights are working. The test can be terminated prematurely at any time by pressing the brake pedal.
